Inside Web3 | Token go-to-market strategies
Logbook of a Web3 builder: News, resources, fundraising, and learnings
Hello guys!
Get ready 🥁🥁 Mobula beta is released 🎉
We've been working hard for several weeks on the beta release, and now it's done.
We can focus on marketing 😏 And it will be huge.
Overall, we have already started to market the platform, but as usual, we have done a lot of testing and bootstrapping. Here are some interesting figures:
- A huge success of our Earning page in terms of acquisition and retention
- 8000+ cold emails sent with a 30% click-through rate (using emelia.io)
+300 messages sent via LinkedIn for partnership with the room strategy (using Waalaxy)
+80 partnership rooms were created to achieve +120 objectives (backlinks, bot discord integration, social media posts). Youtube video is coming soon.
+20000 messages sent via mass-dm on Telegram (disappointed so far 👎)
+ Acquisition of the #1 Solidity Developer Community on Facebook with +15.000 members (for free 😈)
Next week, I'll review the top 3 marketing strategies that worked on the Alpha version of Mobula. I'm so excited 🤪👾🫀🎇

3/ Focus of the week: Token go-to-market strategies 🚀
Tokens represent a real strength for companies. They are useful internally in the management of flows (financial or organizational) and externally where they meet the many limitations of non-tokenized companies (Transparency, Security, OwnerShip shared, Incentivized), etc.
I encourage every token founder to have a concrete project behind the token, with a clear product-market fit and well-defined token utility. The token must come in a second plan. The purpose of this edition is to share some interesting strategies for those who are at the launch stage of their token 👇
A first go-to-market strategy for token builders is to build and develop a community associated with their tokens to have a base of people who will support them for the launch. To build a community, I invite you to discover the edition dedicated to this topic: Inside Web3 | Creating a community in Web3
You can organize one or more Airdrops of your token to make your project discover through the token via Airdrop. The airdrop consists in offering a part of your tokens to people. Airdrop is a great way to incentivize or reward early adopters to join or test your network by distributing quantities of tokens. You can distribute tokens to every user in your protocol or target specific users to solve the cold start problem. This will create a strong network effect, rewarding early adopters and encouraging new ones to join or adopt your project. Airdrops can be used retroactively or proactively to reward loyal users, spread the word about your project, and get new people to check it out.
Good news, we are launching an airdrop page with Mobula. So if you want our 15 000 active daily users to discover your project, don't hesitate to send me a message :)
You will most likely have a web interface and a platform associated with your token. I recommend that you set up an internal earning system. You can develop a system of Use to Earn, Play to Earn, Promote to Earn, etc.
I talk about it in detail in this edition: Inside Web3 | Building a use-to-earn system
Users are not the only important people to attract to a Web3 project. You need to attract people who will build into the ecosystem you have created.
Your mission? Be sexy to other Web3 startup founders and developers to get partnerships, API integration, people who want to develop products in your ecosystem, etc. Developer grants are a great way to do it. These are rewards given by centralized or decentralized blockchain companies where your team will have to answer a problem (vulnerabilities, audits, improvements, etc.) and will pocket a reward if they succeed. In addition to being a source of funding and, therefore, a boost for your launch, you will demonstrate the power of your team and your project and make other builders want to follow you.
Another go-to-market technique is to build trust with your audience.
To do this, you can start by asking for audits to prove the reliability and security of your token. With StaySAFU, we offer full audits with 30-page reports starting at $500 (-15% with the code #InsideWeb3 ). You can also list your token in as many crypto platforms as possible. First, start with Data aggregators (CoinMarketCap, CoinGecko, and of course... Mobula). You also have to ask for CEX and DEX listings.
Don't forget to have fun! You can prepare some memes, for example. Memes have proven to be a viral marketing tool for web3 organizations. They fit perfectly with the spirit of the industry and are a good way to grab users' attention to convey information faster and in a fun way. It also creates a sense of community and strengthens your project in many ways :)
4/ The Web3 business idea of the week
This is a new section for the INSIDE WEB3 editions. I hope you will like it :)
Each week, I will share with you a Web3 business idea.
Yesterday, I considered creating a platform to manage our on-chain treasury and employees' salaries. Why not a SAS (Software as a service) to connect your wallets and have a dashboard to view your input & output, automate your employees' payroll, manage your tax returns, etc? Maybe a mix of Koinly and a web3 version of Payfit :)
* Remember, the idea is nothing. It's all about execution.
+5000 people have probably already thought of this idea
+500 people have probably already worked on the implementation of this idea
+ 50 people have probably already turned the idea into a product
About 5 people will probably satisfy their customers and have growth
